A highly ranked arts institution in Leeds is on the hunt for a Senior Subject Librarian to start as soon as possible on an initial three-month fixed term contract.
The purpose of your role would be to assist and advise the University Curator in the efficient and effective organization and running of the libraries on both campuses in the absence of the University Librarian. This includes dealing with staffing issues, ordering stock, inducting, advising and assisting student and staff users with the library resources and facilities as appropriate. You will be able provide and develop library and information services to meet the needs of students and staff across both campuses.
To be eligible for this role, you will need to have a recognized library qualification, be a member of a relevant professional body, ie CILIP and have worked in an academic library previously.
Please note that this role requires a flexible working pattern and will involve evening and weekend working.
