Senior Project Manager - 6-month contract

Our client a leading homeless charity are looking to recruit an experienced project manager to support on the final stages of one of their largest projects, the 2017 Christmas Campaign.

A dedicated project manager is required to lead and strategically co-ordinate the work and take responsibility for delivering the integrated campaign. This campaign is one of the most important income generator, and its success every year is essential for the organisations financial sustainability.

The Project Manager will make the project hang together, harness the talents of the amazing people we have in each team to make that happen. Using a combination of traditional and more agile project management skills you will be overseeing a number of cross functional project teams to deliver a portfolio of activities for our annual Christmas Campaign. We will rely on your strong leadership skills to keep the teams motivated and focused on clear goals, quality outputs and timely delivery.

Keeping the projects on track is important to us and wherever possible you will use project management structures that are agile, fast and healthy. You will report regularly and openly on the status of the projects and people, to address needs and issues rapidly, whilst helping us all to learn, share and improve how to run our projects better every day.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in a leadership role of managing multiple projects to time and budget
  • Experience of working with project management methodologies and processes
  • Comfortable working across a diverse range of tasks at one time while maintaining appropriate attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office, simple accounting and project management methodology
