TPP's client a leading national children's charity renowned for their innovative, life changing services are seeking a Senior Practitioner to lead their new project on eliminating FGM.
The FGM project is government funded and focuses on educating professionals, families and cultures around the reality of FGM. Their goal is to eliminate FGM in 15 years' New assessment tools, processes and policies and procedures have been designed to implement this project.
The role of the Senior Practitioner will be to work closely with Hertfordshire County Council professionals, proving them with training on how to use the assessment tools, develop their awareness of FGM and also to work with some of the young people and their families who are directly affected by FGM.
As this is a new project, intensive training will be given to the successful candidate around FGM, the assessment tools plus much more. There will be a lot of autonomy in this role and the successful candidate will Home-based, and will work in the Hertfordshire geographical area, but may also be required to work within other pilot areas (currently Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk, Thurrock, and Southend).
To be considered for this vacancy you will need to be a Qualified Social Worker and HCPC registered, you will need to have a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience within child protection, children in need or similar. You will need to hold a full UK driving license and have use of a car. It is imperative you have a strong child protection background and can demonstrate experience or ability to work collaboratively with professionals and also be a strong influencer.
