This well respected international NGO are looking for a policy professional to come and join their team on a 6 month FTC.

Within this role you can look forward to delivering the organisations political advocacy work on climate change. You will play an instrumental part in the delivery of the organisations climate change work, and oversee the implementation of their climate change strategy, proposing how it should be evolved and change to ensure maximum impact.

You will be research, analysing and monitoring political developments within climate change, and keep abreast of latest scientific developments. You will be liaising with key internal stakeholders to lead on thematic initiatives and recommend changes to messaging and advocacy in their other key work streams. Further to this you will be building upon and maintaining key relationships with governments, civil servants, parliamentarians, thinks tanks and other key influencers to aid research and analysis and develop collaboration.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an experienced policy professional
  • Experience within environmental, particularly climate change, policy is highly desirable
  • Have a strong track record in political advocacy
  • Strong stakeholder engagement experience
  • Must be available early to mid January
