An arts based examination body are recruiting for a Senior Manager to lead the panel management and deployment team in the recruitment and delivery of training and standardisation of examination panel members who deliver the examinations and assessments across their portfolio of products.
As someone who has experience in developing resources and training for examiners, especially in a digital or e-learning format, you will ensure panel members receive effective and timely delivery of training, standardisation and monitoring so they in turn can deliver the best possible experience to candidates. You will be responsible for the recruitment and delivery of training and standardisation of examiners, senior examiners and academic staff across all subjects.
You will have excellent communication skills in order to liaise with the wider Operations Team to plan and ensure that examiner numbers meet business needs, as well as with the Quality & Standards and Sector Strategies directorates to plan the most relevant topics and frequencies. You will also liaise with the Post Results Services team to ensure that complaints arising from examiner conduct and their outcomes are appropriately managed with individual panel members.
You will have excellent knowledge and experience of quality assurance practices and processes in order to monitor examiner performance.
This role will require someone with proven line management skills as you will be directly managing a team of 4, as well as having responsibility for over 1000 freelance examiners. You will also have the confidence to deliver presentations and workshops in a range of contexts. Some subject knowledge of either Language, Music or Performing Arts is desirable.
