A museum based in London are looking to expand their Education team and have created a new role for a Senior Learning Manager to develop their programmes within schools.
This is a full time permanent position paying £38k plus benefits package.
Reporting to the Head of Learning this role will have responsibility for 6 direct reports, budget management as well as seeking creative opportunities to develop the schools provision. The post holder will effectively lead the development and delivery of the schools strategy and manage the schools team, ensuring that their schools programmes are of outstanding quality and engage as many pupils as possible. As well as representing the museum on a range of schools-related partnership projects and contribute to cross-museum initiatives such as new exhibitions and websites.
To be successful in this post you will have the following essential criteria:
- Evidenced up-to-date, strategic awareness of developments in the schools sector in London and nationally, with the ability to identify and exploit the opportunities these provide.
- Proven experience of successfully line managing staff, ensuring that they are motivated and high performing.
- Demonstrable experience of working in partnership to deliver schools initiatives.
