A London based health charity is seeking a talented Senior Finance Officer for a part-time role. The role will involve a significant amount of customer service, so applicants with outstanding communication skills are required.

The charity is based in 2 locations (Denmark Hill, central London) and Bromley (South-East London) and the role is for 4 days per week. The role will be split over the 2 locations, with Mondays being based in Bromley and Tuesdays-Thursdays being based in Denmark Hill.

The role will involve:

-Act as the first point of contact for fund holders, answering telephone/email fund queries promptly and accurately (e.g. confirmation of the balance on a Designated Fund, details regarding particular transactions against a fund, etc).

-Issue monthly statements to fund holders on the financial status of their funds

-Ensure all donations are allocated to the correct designated fund, liaising with the Fundraising team with any queries

-Ensure that all transactions on the Charity’s bank statements are correctly accounted for in the accounting software;

-Upload monthly donation file received from the fundraising database to the accounting software and liaise with the Fundraising Resource Team with any queries.

-Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, identifying and clearing all differences, for approval by the Accountant

-Prepare all other monthly balance sheet reconciliations for approval by the Accountant

Requirements:

-AAT or similar qualification preferred, but not essential

-Highly professional and confident telephone manner

-Outstanding customer service skills – capable of interacting with people from a variety of backgrounds

-Experience with high volume, complex reconciliations

-Varied bookkeeping experience, ideally in a small accounts team

-Strong Excel skills and the ability to work with different accounting systems
