About the opportunity
Would you like experience in security?
We want someone who can facilitate car parking in the mornings and especially on Friday afternoons. It's an important role and would give experience in security. You could volunteer for just one of these or it could be more hours if you wanted.
Our church, project and nursery car park is located opposite a busy mosque. We try to share our car park with those attending Friday prayers at the mosque, whilst ensuring full access for emergency vehicles and from the buildings' emergency exits. It's a small car park.
About The Springfield Project
The Springfield Project is a Birmingham-based charity with a passion for our local community. We are committed to providing a safe and welcoming space in which people from diverse backgrounds can meet and receive support.
The Project developed from St Christopher's Church's commitment to supporting families in the local area and sharing God's love in our community.
We work in partnership with Birmingham City Council to deliver children's centre services providing activities and support for families with children under 5.
We run the Neighbour Scheme, a social prescription project between local GPs and the Springfield Project, working to reduce isolation and improve the mental wellbeing of local adults.
What are they looking for?
We are looking for a friendly, diplomatic person who will be able to facilitate safe and considerate car parking in the mornings and on Friday afternoons.
A Muslim volunteer would be ideal but not essential.
Practical Considerations
This opportunity is outdoor and all-weathers.
Reasonable travel expenses can be reimbursed.
