EmployabilityUK is an education charity whose aim is to provide bespoke employability programmes to help raise the aspirations and work-readiness of young people. Founded in December 2014, this Midlands-based charity is recruiting an experienced Secretary of Trustees to oversee corporate governance and provide full Trustee support to the Board.
Your main focus will be to provide professional administration and support to the Board of Trustees. You will also have an opportunity to take responsible for the legal and constitutional activities of the charity, including safeguarding the charity’s interests.
This is varied role that will include building on the profile of the charity with key stakeholders, including other professional bodies in order to identify and adopt examples of best practice.
As well as playing a key role on ad hoc projects, you will also support the management of the wider volunteer network by engaging effectively with the Board members, ensuring they are fully supported to fulfil their responsibilities.
Finally you will have an opportunity to manage the election process of new members to the Board and Committees, including the marketing and promotion of vacancies, ensuring process runs effectively and within agreed timescales.
