A leading postgraduate University in London are looking for a Research Finance Officer to join their rapidly expanding Research Operations Office. The Research Finance Officer will support the efficient management of a faculty's research portfolio, ensuring an excellent level of service to the Academic and Professional Staff. Combining proficiency in post award grant administration and the opportunity to develop an area of expertise, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their skills within the area of Research.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of a Faculty's research grant and consultancy portfolio, including post-award responsibilities and ensuring processed are carried out on a timely and accurate basis. You will also take responsibility for the accurate entry of project data into the management system and keep on top of developments within the external research environment. Ensuring that the School builds and maintains good relationship with key funding bodies, you will develop specialist expertise in and knowledge of one or more major funders.

In order to make a success of this role, you will have an undergraduate degree as well as prior research administration or accounting practices, preferably within the setting of Higher Education. You will be able to work independently and proactively within a team and have demonstrable knowledge of financial accountancy and the ability to understand funder financial terms and conditions.
