Regional Social Media Supporter - South East Region

Do you want a voluntary role that will help you meet new people, make new friendships, enhance your CV and develop or use social media skills? Would you like a role that makes a difference to new parents across the South East?

As a Regional Social Media Supporter for NCT, the UK's leading charity for parents, your role will be to support a regional volunteer team, who in turn support volunteers in 40 local branches across the South East in Surrey, Sussex and Kent.

Our branches support parents in their local area throughout the first 1,000 days of parenthood. They run regular groups and activities where parents can meet, chat, make friends, share their challenges and gain as well as offer support. Our branches also fundraise to support local activities and to help keep our national services running.

You will help to promote the activities of NCT's South East region and its branches across social media to communicate with branch volunteers and the general public, and also help branches use social media more effectively to help support parents in their local area, raising awareness of events and activities, and promoting NCT campaigns.

Ideally, you will have experience in the use of different social media platforms, mainly (but not limited to) Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for personal or business use. However, if you're not an expert, we encourage applications from those enthusiastic and positive about the use of social media, with a willingness to learn.

This role is mostly home-based. Some travel to visit branches within the region is possible, as well as attending volunteer training events, for which travel expenses are reimbursed. Ideally, you will live within the South East (Surrey, Sussex and Kent), but we also welcome applications from those who live close to the region and within reasonable travelling distance to most of the region.

For this role, you will need access to a home computer in order to get the most benefit out of the different social media platforms.

If you have 1-2 hours per week to spare and love social media, this could be the role for you. Why not apply today to find out more?

To apply, please send your CV including details of any relevant volunteering experience to Melissa Gough-Rundle at melissa.gough-rundle@nct.org.uk
