Regional Coordinator - South East Region

Do you want a voluntary role that will help you meet new people, make new friendships, enhance your CV and help shape new projects? A role that will help to make a difference to new parents across the South East?

As a Regional Coordinator for NCT, the UK's leading charity for parents, your role will be to support and bring together a regional volunteer team, who in turn support volunteers in 40 local branches across the South East in Surrey, Sussex and Kent.

Our branches support parents in their local area throughout the first 1,000 days of parenthood. They run regular groups and activities where parents can meet, chat, make friends, share their challenges and gain as well as offer support. Our branches also fundraise to support local activities and to help keep our national services running.

As Regional Coordinator, you would also become part of our Regional Volunteer Support Network, who meet around 4 times a year around the UK. Training is provided and you will receive direct support from the Regional Volunteer Manager as well as peer support from your fellow Regional Coordinators.

This role is mostly home-based. Some travel to visit branches can be expected, as well as attending volunteer training events and attending the quarterly Regional Volunteer Support Network meetings, for which travel expenses are reimbursed.

You will need access to a computer, or possibly a tablet, to carry out this role to access NCT systems and respond to emails. Previous NCT volunteering experience is an advantage but not essential, as we welcome fresh perspectives. You should be however confident in responding to emails and talking to volunteers. Previous management experience is also an advantage.

Ideally, you will live within the South East region but we also welcome applications from those who live close to the region and within reasonable travelling distance to the majority of the South East (ie Surrey, Sussex and Kent).

If you have a few hours a week to spare, this could be the role for you. Why not apply today to find out more?

To apply, please send your CV including any volunteering experience to Melissa Gough-Rundle Melissa.gough-rundle@nct.org.uk
