Quality and Standards Manager

An awarding organisation known for providing world-class journalism training, is recruiting a new, key role. They are looking to appoint a Quality and Standards Manager to lead their accreditation scheme and centre approvals process, playing a major part in managing and growing the partnerships between the organisation and the course providers as well as providing support for educators and trainers who strive for excellence.

You'll be based at their lovely North Essex office where a hybrid model of office and home working can be offered. You can also expect some travel as part of this role. Staff events, personal development opportunities and a 5% employer pension contribution are among the other benefits.

As the Quality and Standards Manager, you'll ensure the accreditation scheme and centre approvals process is professionally managed and administered, playing a key part in increasing the number of qualified trainees entering the media and related sectors. The approach you'll take to accreditation and centre approval will be clear, proportionate, rigorous, proactive and risk based, using verified information. Reporting to the Head of Awarding, you'll ensure centres, their courses and the delivery of qualifications are of a world-class standard.

To be considered, you'll have experience working within an awarding organisation or similar quality assurance role in any industry. Alternatively, qualified journalists with experience of investigative or data journalism would also be considered.
Other skills and experience you'll need include:
* A good grasp of education quality assurance and standards processes and frameworks
* Excellent communication and relationships management
* Forensic attention to detail and a methodical and systematic approach to work
* Implementing change, managing projects, multi-tasking, planning and meeting strict deadlines.
