This highly respected membership organisation are looking for a Public Affairs Officer to join their team.

Based either at their HQ in Berkshire (with regular travel to London) or in their London office, you can look forward to providing support for the organisations public affairs activities.

You will be ensuring that the organisation is well positioned within the UK government, as well as devolved institutions and the wider policy community, to help influence government regulation. Working with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external, you will be managing the organisations policy profile and drive its reputation and engagement opportunities.

You can look forward to developing a stakeholder engagement programme for policy makers and external stakeholders and to help plan and organise political engagement events, including parliamentary and party conference receptions, roundtables, panel discussions and seminars. You will be drafting responses to Parliament and Government consultations as well as supporting the Policy and Public Affairs Manager in evaluating the performance of the policy and public affairs function.

Salary for this role is:

  • £28,500 (outer London)
  • £30,000 (inner London)

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience in a public affairs/policy role
  • Have an excellent knowledge of UK parliamentary process
  • Have a strong stakeholder engagement ability
  • Strong writing ability
