TPP have a great opportunity for a Part time Prospect Research Manager. Part time (0.5 FTE). This charity are committed to working flexibly and will consider several work patterns and arrangements for the right applicant.

This trust was founded in 2007 by HRH The Prince of Wales. The charity uses innovative solutions such as impact investment and social enterprise to tackle problems and inequalities in the areas of education, livelihoods, anti-trafficking and mental health.

Job purpose:
To develop, lead and deliver prospect research and pipeline management programme supporting the fundraising team to maximise income and strengthen and grow our supporter base in line with our business plan and fundraising strategy.

Insight & Research
Provide insightful prospect research on existing supporters and new prospects including individuals, corporates and trusts and foundations
Provide timely, accurate and detailed biographies of prospects/donors
Provide written briefings, reports and advice notes for colleagues to support external stakeholder meetings, pitches and proposal writing
Deliver bespoke desk-based research e.g. by sector, audience and/or industry to support development of fundraising strategies and plans
Oversee research budget, advising on tools required to deliver prospect and research strategy in an efficient and cost-effective way
Provide support, guidance and advice to colleagues on best practice regarding prospect research

Pipeline development, management and reporting
Proactively identify new individuals, trusts, foundations and corporations who have the potential to support
Drive identification, qualification and profiling of prospects and supporters
Prepare Due Diligence reports on prospects and maintain a centrally held register of decisions taken regarding future engagement, including any risk mitigation
Regularly and proactively identify new prospects through a range of identification techniques
Map networks of senior stakeholders and supporters and recording connections on CRM
Work with senior colleagues to allocate prospects to relationship managers and monitor progress
Lead on pipeline and moves management process via the CRM database and work with managers to maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect and supporter records

PERSON PROFILE - KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Very strong track record in researching and profiling individuals and organisations
Experience of working in a major gift fundraising environment and in-depth understanding of the types of information required by fundraisers
Ability to use Salesforce or similar CRM database to a high degree of sophistication, especially for prospect development moves and pipeline management and reporting
Understanding of Data Protection legislation and knowledge of how to apply it
Confident user of online prospect research resources
Experience of using a relationship management database
Experience of providing high quality, accurate written work to a variety of audiences including senior colleagues
Strong editing, spelling and grammar skills
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a track record of proactively building sound working relationships with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work to strict deadlines without supervision, to manage own workload, set priorities and exercise discretion and judgement in decision-making
Ability to work accurately under pressure to tight and sometimes conflicting deadlines
Strong presentation and communications skills both oral and in writing
Strong attention to detail whilst also able to see the bigger picture
Resourceful, tenacious and curious in conducting research tasks
Courteous, collaborative approach to working with others
Flexibility, a 'can do' attitude and the desire to work as part of a high performing creative team
