Employment Type: FTC until February 2020 - 21 hours per week

Salary/rate: £15.13 per hour

Short description of role;

Our client are looking for a Project Support and Communications Officer to start ASAP until February 2020. The main purpose of the role is to provide project and communications support to the Trust's Programme and other projects and campaigns within the Trust. The Trust has a unique and innovative partnership, working closely with three police forces in their local areas. The post holder role will assist the Project Manager and Senior Project Officer on this project through provision of administrative assistance, communications support and ad hoc project support. As part of the Policy team, the post holder will support the broader campaigning activities of the Trust.

Main duties of the role;

  • Support the Project Management office in managing the partners across three regions with different stakeholders and support communication between all partners
  • Assist in the production of project management documentation
  • Taking minutes in meetings
  • Supporting preparation of presentation materials
  • Booking meeting rooms
  • Arranging travel
  • Diary planning / management for Project Managers and other members of the Leadership team
  • Prepare communication materials for the Trust including press releases, website statements and social media posts
  • Support the Trust's response to media enquiries, including handling the press phone
  • Co-ordinate partners' inputs into reports, press releases and other materials

You must have;

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office
  • A minimum of 1-2 years in an administrative role
  • Experience of external communications including social media


  • Experience of dealing with the press or other media enquiries
  • Experience of taking minutes in meetings
