Project Manager - Technical (part-time)

Our client a leading membership health charity are seeking a Technical Project Manager to join them on an exciting period of growth in online systems; the post-holder will work within the Research and Policy team to deliver this ambitious programme. You will be responsible for ensuring that developments to the applications within the PCO programme are delivered and supported in such a way to meet the strategic aims of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:
- Responsible for the technical delivery of the projects
- Full participate as a member of the programme management team
- Lead and deliver project workshops and events
- Responsible for monitoring and evaluation processes
- Responsible for understanding the technical detail of the project and how the various parts of the programme fit together
Management of multiple external relationships
- Support supplier evaluation and selection
- Quality assurance
- Contract Management
Budget and recourse management
- Be responsible for identifying potential variances of expenditure versus budget
- Working with the PM team to ensure effective management of project budgets
Essential Criteria
- Suitable qualification at graduate level and relevant post-qualification
- Formal project management qualification
- Familiarity with XML, Drupal and web development technologies
- Excellent project management skills and experience evidenced by a recent and successful track record in a relevant project management role
- Skills and experience at managing multiple projects within a portfolio or programme of work
- Strong problem solving skills demonstrating the ability to understand and discuss complex issues
- Self-motivating
- Strong experience and knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and of database applications.
