Our client, a community environment charity, has an exciting Project opportunity available for anyone that has been involved in any conservation project delivery or even as a site warden. This is a permanent role with scope to grow. Based in Middlesex, with flexible working and days in lieu options.
A good variety of responsibilities to get involved in:
Planning, and delivering green space management on behalf of key partners
Lead community green spaces projects including recruiting & training volunteers
Ensure project Risk Assessments are completed for all sites
Track project progress and budget management
Identify opportunities to further partnership development to increase green spaces funding
Explore opportunities to establish traineeships and apprenticeships
Support and direct groups of volunteers and corporate volunteers
Any project/programme experience or involvement in either of the following areas will make you someone of interest to my client: countryside management, Conservation, Landscape, Environment. If you have also worked with volunteers in a coordination fashion, then definitely apply. You should be able to demonstrate some basic project management ability and good ability of tracking/looking after a budget. Demonstrable experience of partnership working with public, private and voluntary sectors would be spot on. Having excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal to be able to communicate with a wide variety of customer groups will definitely be of benefit to you in this role. A highly desirable will be someone that has written green space management plans or even just updated them.
