Are you passionate about improving the mental health of young people?

A leading charity who campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding around mental health are now recruiting for a Project Coordinator to join the team for 3 months with a possibility of becoming longer term.

As the Project Coordinator, your role will be to improve the mental health of young people by coordinating the delivery of a volunteer run programme to offer outreach and intervention for young people aged 14-25 with the aim of improving mental health coping strategies and self care. You will also lead a group of partner organisations to offer better access for young people to specialist mental health support.

Key tasks include:
-market and promote the project
-coordinate day to day delivery of the project including the partnerships with four partner organisations
-recruit young local people with lived experience of mental health problems and develop and deliver training for them to become workshop facilitators
-Supervise a team of volunteers to deliver mental health workshops

To be considered for this role, you'll need to have experience coordinating community projects and developing and delivering training programmes as well as experience working with young people or people with mental health problems. You'll also need experience supporting volunteers and have exceptional communication skills to manage multiple partnerships.
