An environmental charity working on a global scale are recruiting for a Programme Manager for one of their expanding programmes to transform urban spaces into greener ones. This exciting opportunity offers flexible working and a negotiable salary.
Key responsibilities for the Programme Manager post:
Drive the strategic development and direction of the UK programme
Partnership management and relationship building with various stakeholders, including local councils
Be part of various steering groups to share and promote good practice in urban forestry across delivery partners
Develop budgets for each project to be used in partnership agreements and proposals
Working with a Coordinator to develop and manage a portfolio of community tree planting projects
Support the corporate partnerships team to raise funds for the UK programme
Be the spokesperson for the programme and represent the org at the occasional event
Your experience in successfully managing local council relationships and working on urban environmental programmes will be essential to give the client assurance you are the right person for this opportunity. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to multi-task, problem solve and monitor/assess the delivery of projects will ensure you have the confidence to deliver within the post. You will need to have strong written and verbal communication skills with experience of writing funding proposals and writing reports. The ability to be creative and able to develop new ideas including on how to engage landowners, partners and community groups will make you ideal for this opportunity.
