A well-regarded international animal welfare charity based in the UK is currently looking for a Programme Funding Advisor to join their London office in 2018.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of programme funding within this charity. The successful applicant will responsible for co-ordinating a variety of work-streams to help maximise the organisation's ability to secure institutional funding, whilst being directly responsible for growing income from institutional funding sources.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Co-ordinating and project-managing the Charity's established strategic initiative to raise grant income directly and through NGO partnerships.
  • Working with the Trusts & Grants Manager to identify and maintain a viable group of grant-making prospects and partnership opportunities.
  • Identify, research and prepare grant applications for UK- and International-based grant-makers.
  • Develop, review and update geographical and thematic cases for support, to assist the Philanthropy & Partnerships Team with funding proposals.

The successful applicant will have current experience of working with institutional funders, including demonstrable knowledge and experience of common priorities, requirements and ways of working. A strong background in international development and proposal development with institutional funders is essential, along with excellent project management skills and a successful background in relationship building.
