Our client, an international Humanitarian organisation, has a unique opportunity available for an experienced Programme professional who is used to working alongside DfID. This is a permanent role with multiple facets.
Key responsibilities for this Programme Development Director:
Develop and account manage relationships with DFID and FCO
Work with programme colleagues to develop and maintain strategies for existing country programmes
Manage the process of development of concept papers, project proposals and responses
Lead UK donor programme design processes, including contributions to logframes, technical narrative and M&E plans
Ensure each DFID and FCO proposal application adheres to the requirements
Liaise with and train staff on global programme desks and global technical unit
Identify and develop partnerships with potential UK partners
Your successful proven track record with DfID or the FCO on proposal writing and partnership is an essential key ingredient for this role. Demonstrable knowledge of UK institutional donor trends, strategies and initiatives will ensure you fit in well with the plans for this opportunity. Previous experience of developing capacity building initiatives for national and international staff is something that will be utilised and you should be prepared to travel 20-30% of your time in this role. If you can demonstrate a deep knowledge and specialist skills in DFID proposal writing and relationship management experience in a related field showing progressive increases in assigned responsibility, then you will definitely stand out from the crowd.
