An arts based awarding body in the heart of London are looking for a Professional Qualifications Officer to take responsibility for the quality assurance and development of assessments for the higher level qualifications offered by the Society.
This will involve assisting in the development and monitoring of quality assurance procedures and assessments and the administration of marking.
Overseeing the daily work of one assistant key areas of responsibility will include:
The allocation and tracking of examination papers and the checking and recording of candidates' results ensuring the certification and recording of certificate issue dates
Co-ordination and delivery of marker training and moderation panels
Ensuring the production, recording and monitoring of questions, essay titles, examination papers & marking schedules to ensure effective moderation and prevent fraud
The approval and re-approval processes of Approved Centres, liaising with inspectors and colleagues, carrying out checks as necessary, including site visits to ensure compliance with examining procedures
Dealing with complaints, enquiries and appeals relating to professional qualifications, including matters of suspected malpractice
Developing, sourcing, and managing the delivery of revised assessments, liaising with subject matter experts and the Chief Examiner as appropriate, and striving for continuous improvement
