We are working with a Professional Institute to recruit for a Professional Development Manager on a permanent basis. This is a newly created position in the organisation to support the CEO in delivering the strategic 5-year plan for the Institute.
You will manage the infrastructure for their Continued Professional Development (CPD) programme and member's professional development. As well as managing the membership team, you will also ensure the membership and registration joining processes are rigorous and efficient. The organisation would also like to set up a mentoring scheme for their members which you would take full responsibility for establishing and managing. The Professional Development Manager will also manage the relationships with training partners.
This role will also manage the process of CPD recording in conjunction with the wider membership team and take responsibility for keeping records up to date and in line with regulations. As well as promoting CPD amongst the membership, you will also identify training gaps and support others to design and develop schemes to fulfil them, with a particular focus on Chartered by Experience (CBE) schemes.
This role will be ideal for someone with a thorough understanding of CPD and how to manage the related processes, as well as strong management skills. You will have worked in an education organisation, such as an Awarding Organisation or Membership Body and have great communication skills.

The organisation are based in Portsmouth and their ideal would be someone who can be in the office 1 or 2 days a week but they are open to discussions on this and will consider further flexibility on location.
