JOB PROFILE

JOB TITLE: Private Medical Secretary

HOURS: 09:00 – 17:00 or 09:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday

Closest Station: Regents Park

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • To liaise effectively and efficiently with 1 Doctor, the Practice Manager, patients,
  • Secretaries, GPs, consultants, other medical organisations and members of the public
  • To make appointments and organise outpatient clinic lists, hospital admissions and Investigations
  • To manage correspondence and telephone enquiries speedily and accurately
  • To maintain, scan and file patient records with care and accuracy
  • To type clinic letters and other correspondence accurately and swiftly
  • To prioritise work to meet deadlines
  • To use supplied IT to register and obtain patient information
  • To ensure the smooth running of outpatient clinics
  • To prepare clinic lists and make all notes, relevant correspondence and test results available in advance
  • To assist in the organisation and administration of the practice
  • Any other duties that may be required which are consistent with the nature and grade of the post
