A leading health awareness charity are looking for a press and PR officer on a temporary contract to support their policy and campaigns team. They are looking for someone who can come in and hit the ground running and provide support to two major campaigns amongst others. The post is vacant so a permanent position is available to the right candidate.
Experience of working in a press office, PR agency or communications.
Experience of implementing digital strategy and using digital to further awareness of the work the charity does.
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
Previous experience of working to promote academic research outcomes.
Experience in working on disability issues such as benefits and housing would be advantageous.
A qualification in PR or public affairs would be desirable as well as experience with working with volunteers and the ability to work out of hours.
