This medical membership body are looking for a new PR and Media Manager to come and join their team in this newly created role. Within this role you can look forward to devising and implementing the media and public relations plans to raise awareness of this organisation, targeting specific audiences and to support the delivery of the organisations objectives. You will be using a combination of online and offline media and corporate communications channels to increase understanding and awareness of the organisation. You will be leading on the proactive media work and be researching, pitching and placing features and articles to increase awareness and understanding of their work. You will also play a key role in the maintenance and development of relationships with journalists from national and specialist media. You will be providing support for reactive press office service, and working alongside a consumer PR agency, who are retained for 2 days a month, you will be assisting in promoting the organisations major consumer-focused campaign.
The ideal postholder will:
- Have experienced in proactive and reactive PR and media
- Strong writing ability
- Preferably knowledge of the Health Sector
- Be immediately available
