TPP is currently working exclusively with Resuscitation Council UK who are seeking to hire a Policy & Public Affairs Manager to join their dedicated Engagement & Influencing team. Reporting into the newly appointed Director of Engagement & Influencing you will be responsible for managing our client’s policy and public affairs activities, which will include developing influencing strategies and stakeholder engagement plans.
As an experienced policy & public affairs professional ,you will oversee a portfolio that raises the profile of our client in Westminster and beyond. This is a varied role and you will also be involved in leading the development of evidence-based policy recommendations that improve people’s chances of surviving a cardiac arrest, wherever they are, and support their media and campaigning activity.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
Monitor parliamentary activity and identify opportunities to influence policy development, legislation and service provision in line with our clients’ goals.
Produce accessible and concise briefings to ensure research is presented clearly.
Build new partnerships and strengthen existing relationships with likeminded organisations in line with their strategic plan, to broaden their reach.
Facilitate high level influence and interaction with the wider statutory sector across all four nations.
Your experience will include:
Experience of working in a political, policy or public affairs environment.
Experience of preparing high-quality reports on complex issues ie policy positions, national consultations, blogs or newsletters.
Knowledge of public policy procedures and parliamentary processes.
Experience of developing and managing relationships with stakeholders.
Experience of monitoring the political landscape and identifying influencing opportunities.
