Peer Circles Coordinator

Croydon with frequent travel to outer London boroughs

£30,000 (37.5 hours per week)

Fixed term contract until December 2019

About the Organisation:

TPP’s client, a leading homelessness charity in London, provides supported housing for homeless customers with complex needs. They provide solutions to homelessness through shelter, support and advice to over 1500 each year across four London boroughs.

The Peer Circles project is jointly funded by the Big Lottery and the European Social Fund and led by St Giles Trust in a partnership with five other organisations.

The Role:

Reporting to the Area Manager, you will lead a team of peer advisors to deliver flexible services to customers with complex needs and severe and multiple disadvantages to enable them to develop improved employability skills and progress into sustainable employment. You will be organising the promotion of the project, and coordinating the recruitment and engagement of participants. You will also work directly with participants to agree and regularly review an action plan which addresses their employment and wider barriers. You will manage day to day budget and expenses of the team and projects; and provide monthly and quarterly data and narrative reports and support finance teams to produce accurate financial reports. You will also develop close working relationships with the Project Trainer Assessor, to ensure that the Peer Advisors gain the experience and skills needed for their qualifications

About you:

You must have extensive experience of working successfully with challenging people who have multiple complex needs, as well as experience of developing successful inter-agency work, particularly regarding working with referring agencies to support the needs of participants. You must will have a proven ability to supervise, support and coach a team of volunteers to deliver positive outcomes for vulnerable people.You will also have an aptitude for using monitoring systems to record all aspects of project activity, including actions, outcomes and referrals and the achievement of targets.

As the role involves travelling to outer London boroughs, you will be willing to travel to these locations as and when required. You will also be willing to work flexible shift patterns including evenings or weekends where required.
