A national religious organisation are recruiting for a 2yr fixed term National Safeguarding Advisor within their central team to support the 2,200 churches, 13 regional associations and 5 colleges that form the union.
This role will require someone with practioner experience in both safeguarding of children and adults at risk and will be involved in training design and support for the accredited ministers and association and college safeguarding contacts as well as developing policy and good practise guidelines as part of the organisation's goal in creating excellence in safeguarding.
The National Safeguarding Advisor will also have some involvement in the more complex casework, supporting the National Safeguarding Officer in their work.
To apply for this role you will need to be a Christian, however domination of faith is open, as you will be involved in church practises as well as working alongside practising ministers and needing to balance safeguarding policy and training with biblical teachings.
Key essentials for this role includes:
Relevant professional qualification or equivalent
Level 3 training in child and adult protection with ability to demonstrate transferrable knowledge across the client groups
Up to date knowledge of safeguarding guidance and the management of cases of concern.
A demonstrable Christian faith
