A leading Professional Body who develop world class leaders, teachers and trainers in the Further Education Sector are recruiting for a National Head of Education for Sustainable Development to join their Curriculum Design Team who design and develop professional development programmes.
As the National Head of Education for Sustainable Development, you will be the subject expert on sustainable development principles and what CPD and other interventions can work to bring about improvement and quality teaching in this area. You'll be contributing to helping the FE sector play its part in bringing about more sustainable practices and an integrated approach to tackling the sustainability crisis.
Reporting into the Director of Design and Development, you will be responsible for using your expertise and knowledge of Sustainable Development principles to identify and develop high quality learning resources for the FE sector while engaging colleagues and the wider sector in relevant discussions on the subject area.
To be considered for this role, you'll need to demonstrate skills, understanding and abilities in the following areas;
-Clearly able to demonstrate expertise in education for sustainable development
-Experience of curriculum/CPD/education programme design
-Good current knowledge of education policy and practice
-Ability to work with a wide range of external stakeholders to design and build professional development programmes
-A strong understanding, knowledge and experience of what makes professional development in an education and training environment effective
-Highly motivated and a creative thinker with strong problem solving skills
If you have experience as a Senior Leader in the Further Education and Training Sector and/or with government officials and departments, you will stand out from the crowd!
