About the Organisation:
TPP's client is a leading national children's charity dedicated to helping disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. They have secured organisational funding for a Mental Health Practitioner for an 11 month project to be based in the County Fermanagh area.
Working alongside Family Support Workers, the role will involve undertaking mental health assessments and early interventions based in a High-Support accommodation service for young people aged 16-25 who are leaving care, homeless, or at serious risk of homelessness in the Enniskillen area. The service is based around self-contained fully furnished flats and is staffed 24/7 by a passionate and experienced staff team. You will provide consultation and advice on the support of young people tackling behavioural challenges or significant mental health issues as such depression, anxiety or stress, to identify the initial stages of any mental health problems.
Reporting to the Children's Service Manager, our client will help you achieve your objectives by collaborated with management as well as a range of peer professionals to help you develop into your new role.
How you'll make a difference:
You will be working in partnership with a range of peer professionals to undertake mental health assessments, offer advice, intervention and consultation services, in order to improve recognition, assessment and management of mental health difficulties.
Our client is looking for a dynamic and driven creative practitioner. The successful candidate will deliver a first class mental health service to vulnerable young people helping to improve their outcomes. Our client will also be looking for experience of rolling caseload management of 10 and upwards. What you'll need:
The ideal candidate will either be a Mental Health Social Worker or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), with Early Intervention experience and a working knowledge of specialist therapeutic approaches. Being a confident communicator, you will demonstrate the ability to engage with children, young people, their families and carers, and multi external agencies. You will also have the ability to safeguard and promote the welfare of the children. Having excellent time-management skills is a must, and be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the services.
