We are working with a membership body based in central London who are looking for 2 Membership Assistants to join their team on 1 year fixed term contracts.

As an Association they have more than 10,000 members and over 30 permanent staff. Within the Association, there are a number of sub specialities (smaller membership bodies), these are known as specialist societies. Some years ago, the Association identified that many of these societies relied on their volunteers to run their administrative function and they were finding this increasingly difficult to manage.

In response, the Association created a specialist society department which would offer membership and administration services, enabling them to provide a professional service to their members.

This department are looking for 2 Membership Administrators to work within their small team. The administrator has responsibility for their own group of societies and will provide support to the Membership Manager where needed.

Responsibilities will include

  • Day to day operations and organisation of the specialist societies, ensuring all aspects of specialist society services are professionally delivered.
  • Assist with the development of infrastructure, processes and systems.
  • Assist with the planning, preparation and administration of the annual membership renewal process.
  • Process all membership applications.
  • Respond to all membership enquiries and ensure that they are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Communicate with members regarding renewals and joining

They are looking for someone who

  • Experience in working within customer service/membership function
  • Well organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively
  • Work on own initiative and manage workload
  • Strong administration skills
  • Excellent database skills

We want you to have every opportunity to demonstrate your skills, ability and potential; please contact us if you require any assistance or adjustment so that we can help with making the application process work for you.
