I am working in partnership with a reputable health-care body who has a working culture which boasts a progressive, supportive and friendly environment. It has been a really eventful time for the team there and due to an increasing workload, they are now looking to add a new Media and Communications Officer to report into the Communications Manager during this exciting time for the organisation. This role is for a fixed-term period until the end of June 2017.

As a key member of the team, you will enjoy responsibility in which the majority of it will be centred around pro-active media-relations. This will also include member engagement, internal and digital communications, publications, stakeholder engagement, policy and public affairs.

You will deliver media opportunities via collaboration with staff and colleagues across the organisation as well as manage daily media liaison with specific organisations and journalists. This will be ideal for anyone who enjoys pro-actively drafting any media releases and statements as well as letters to editors while ensuring a balance across the organisation's activities and acting as a main point of contact for all media enquiries which can include out-of-hours calls within a rota.

As you settle in to the role, you will be involved in promoting news based within the organisation through appropriate communication channels and deliver a first-class content across a range of communications channels which include web-based media platforms, the Intranet, website content management system and social media channels.

This is ideal for those of you with previous experience of writing media releases on health-related issues as well as being able to translate scientific information. Naturally, you will also be an excellent communicator with strong organisational and project management skills.

If you would like to play a key part in a team that will invest in your career aspirations then we would like to discuss the role with you in some more detail.

Please email your up-to-date CV to alex.mason@tpp.co.uk quoting the reference number - J59032AM - and I will contact you.

All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.

We value diversity at TPP and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
