We are working with an independent charity that work to advance media freedom, foster more inclusive economies, and promote human rights to recruit for a MEAL Adviser. This is a new role for them, a chance to get in at the ground level and an exciting opportunity to shape the Foundation's monitoring evaluation accountability and learning (MEAL) initiatives and processes. They would definitely consider someone who is ready to step up and who wants to further challenge their M&E skills. Initially this will be a 2 year contract with the aim to go long term, it offers flexible hybrid working and is London based.

As the MEAL Advisor you will help to ensure the organisations products realise measurable impact and real change for its clients and beneficiaries which is a chance to play a key role in the Foundation's work to advance media freedom, foster inclusive economies and promote human rights worldwide. You will play a central role as part of a dynamic programmes team, designing, implementing, and advising on monitoring and evaluation systems, spearheading accountability, and learning processes, and supporting project managers in the delivery of a diverse range of media, legal and convening interventions to deliver systemic impact.

Reporting to the Senior Programmes Manager, you will support project managers to improve their M&E capacity more broadly and advise on organisation-wide MEAL systems and processes to ensure strong accountability, effective learning, and the highest possible standards of quality impact in the organisations programmes. You will also directly support MEAL activities and start up for specific projects as may be required at any given time, and work with local partners to develop and implement new M&E mechanisms and strengthen their M&E capacity, where appropriate.

To be considered for the role you will have the following skills, knowledge, and experiences:
* A Minimum of five years' experience in similar monitoring evaluation accountability and learning roles within the international development sector
* Excellent M&E skills, including designing, planning, and managing project evaluations
