Providing practical help and technical expertise in the creation of emails, journeys and automations.
About The Brain Tumour Charity
We are the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we're moving further, faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour.
We're set on finding new treatments, offering the highest level of support and driving urgent change. And we're doing it right now. Because we understand that when you, or someone you love, is diagnosed with a brain tumour - a cure really can't wait.
The Community Experience (CX) team are responsible for working with the fundraising and marketing team to plan and implement sending emails and setting up customer journeys and automations.
With an ever growing campaign and appeals schedule, this team would value some help for a few hours each week to enable them to continue providing the practical help and technical expertise required.

- Setting up email content-including dynamic content and personalisations
- Sending out one-shot emails
- Helping to plan and implement multi-stage journeys and automations
- Helping to provide results and reporting for campaigns, appeals and journeys
- Troubleshooting existing journeys as required
What impact will you have?
We want to ensure our emails go the right people at the right time and that where ever possible we're automating and being community-led. This helps us not only maximise the impact of all our fundraising and marketing activities, but also gives our amazing fundraisers and donors the best possible experience.
As a key part of the CX team, this volunteer role will help to ensure we are able to maintain a great service.

- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
We particularly encourage applications from those who are significantly underrepresented in our sector, including individuals from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities.
What can you gain from volunteering?
You'll have the opportunity to utilise your existing skills, while developing and learning new ones to take forward into the future.
You'll join a friendly, passionate team and develop an understanding of how a CX team at The Charity operates.
Time commitment and location
This role can be done home or at our Head Office, in Fleet, Hampshire.
We ask volunteers for a regular commitment of four-six hours per week. This doesn't need to be within office hours (Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm), but some cross over would be valuable for training and support.
You'll receive a full induction to The Brain Tumour Charity and any specific training for the role, as well as ongoing direction from a team member within the CX Team.
We carry out reference checks for all individuals who will be volunteering with us on a regular basis. Volunteers will also be required to complete some internal data protection and disclosure documentation before commencing the role. Volunteers must be over 18.
