This is a 10 Month Maternity cover with the possibility of being extended. Our client is a Medical membership body and represent the medical views of their members. They have over 10,000 members in the UK and Ireland. In addition to this they have international reach and attract oversees members. The membership body is at the forefront of research, education, safety in anaesthesia. It's members are key to the advancements in this area. They require a Marketing and Communications Manager who can work with the existing team and lead them in the development and implementation of the marketing, communications and PR strategy.

It is the role of the Marketing and Communications team to ensure that as a membership body and foundation, they are implementing the marketing strategy and enabling continuous research and developments in this area. As Marketing and Communications manager your role will involve managing a web officer and a membership and communications officer. You will work with other departments to anaylse and manage membership aquisition and retention, promotion of the education programme and their other services offered such as the museum, archives and library. You will haev experience of working in a not-for-profit organisation and in a multidisciplinary team where you have worked to deadlines and within the budget. It is essential that you have extremely strong verbal and written communications skills, the ability to write for a range of media such as web, e-newsletters, promotional brochures and publications for varied audiences. A meticulous attention to detail is therefore very important along with a positive and driven attitude to your work and in supporting your team.

This is a great opportunty for an experienced candidate who is able to control all marketing and communications to implement strategies that promote the organisation's services and reputation.
