A health-focused charity concentrating on both care and research work in London is looking for an experienced Legacy fundraiser to join their team as a Legacy Development Manager.

The charity raises circa £6m across their major gifts, legacies, events and community and individual giving programmes, with plan in place to aim to raise £10m per annum by 2024.

Current income from gifts in wills currently averages approx. £2m per year. They very much regard the Legacy Development Manager as a key role within the Major Gifts team; this person be responsible for both developing and delivering an effective strategy to drive income from gifts in wills in order to support the charity's long term ambitions outlined above.

The post-holder will lead and coordinate all legacy marketing activity, with excellent communication skills and the ability to tailor information to a variety of audiences. Your experience and understanding of the intricacies of direct marketing will need to be used in order to widen the reach of the charity's current legacy programme, which will include events, tours and face to face meetings with supporters and prospects, in addition to standard DM channels.

You should also have a good understanding of legacy administration in order to work with the charity's finance team, having an excellent knowledge of best practice, laws and regulations relating to legacy fundraising and administration along with knowledge of data protection, GDPR and other relevant legislation.
