Legacy Administration Specialist

About the role:

A leading international charity supporting people living in poverty is looking for a Legacy Administration Specialist to join the team on a permanent part time basis for 2 days per week.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a small and friendly team of three working as part of the wider Supporter Experience division. You will be offered a flexible working pattern and can choose whether to work from home or from the office.

Reporting to the Senior Legacy and In Memory Manager, you will be responsible for administering all legacy cases within the UK and abroad to secure legacy income for the charity, ensuring all cases are delivered in a timely yet sensitive manner and aligned with their legacy strategy. Currently they have 110 open cases and this also includes complex cases where executors have contested.

As the first point of contact, you will sensitively liaise with the families of deceased supporters to administer legacy gifts left to the charity, working collaboratively across the sector and organisation to embody best practise and raise the profile of legacy giving.

What you'll need:

You will have a wealth of experience in a similar role with a strong knowledge of legacy case work and how to sensitively administer legacy gifts. Ideally, you will have a qualification from the Institute of Legacy Management, although this is not essential.
