You would be working with all teams across the charity to make data work for the charity. You will support the Database Manager in managing, developing and maintaining the Charity's CRM database. You will have advanced technical data skills that will help deliver ambitious customer engagement and income targets.

This role will also provide assistance with the management of data analysis and reporting, audience insights and data selections.

Some of the key activities:

Data and Database Management
Manage all aspects of all the bulk data imports including responsibility for day-to-day relationships with data providers.
Support the Database Executive and/or Database Officer to Operate and maintain a regular programme of data imports, developing procedures where needed.
Run data integrity checks, data validation and manipulation using SQL and Excel.
Develop, maintain and monitor solutions to enhance data quality and integrity.
Be the Technical lead on Faststats, ensuring it develops and evolves in a strategic direction.

Design and implement new reports as requested by stakeholders or as driven by business needs.
Develop new database structures to support efficient reporting.
Develop and maintain processes and procedures for data coming into the organisation from third parties, ensuring it adheres to quality and regulatory standards.

Project Management and Service Delivery
Support the operation of the database 'help desk', taking responsibility for complex requests and identifying appropriate development solutions etc.
Plan and deliver allocated Database led projects, ensuring project briefs are agreed and deadlines and success criteria met.
Work with all stakeholders to define the data requirements of their projects that you are leading on and produce clear data/database project briefs including deadlines and deliverables.
Maintain a systematic approach to requirements gathering identifying links and duplication of requirements across projects you lead on, to ensure the delivery of consistent and efficient solutions.
Agree and clarify project briefs you are responsible for with stakeholders to ensure business relevance and outputs.

Business Analysis and Relationship Management
Work closely with internal stakeholders, helping them to scope and specify their requirements in relation to business process, data capture, data management and data analysis/reporting using the most appropriate tools - CRM system, FastStats and Blender etc.
Review cross-team plans to ensure the Database Team is able to support and enhance planned activities.
Ensure reports, data and processes are in place to allow all stakeholders to turn audience data into audience insight and use it to evaluate and inform planned activities.
Be the team database expert and pro-actively advise and influence colleagues throughout the organisation on best practice in data management to help them achieve their objectives.

The successful candidate will:
Experience Database management
Working with a customer database at a senior level.
Comprehensive experience of all the technical aspects of database and CRM system management
Engaging with stake holders to understand business processes, identify improvements, and solutions etc
Working with innovative solutions and new technologies
Investigating, evaluating and implementing database solutions which support wider organisational goals and promote effective and efficient ways of working.
Operational planning and delivery
Setting and managing the delivery of services to stakeholders and working within a service level agreement framework
Developing workflows, processes and schedules.
Proven project management experience of planning and delivering projects on time and within quality and cost targets.
Successfully managing projects that involve a diverse range of colleagues.
Developing training material
Delivering training and coaching to groups of people as well as in one-to-one situations.
