A leading urban innovation charity at the forefront of urban community development and technology is seeking an IT Manager for a brand new hire. Based in state of the art offices in central London, the successful applicant will lead a small team and will cover 'hands-on' infrastructure and IT strategy. This represents a chance to join a genuinely dynamic organisation.

The role will involve:

-The creation, implementation and management of the IT strategy.

-Working collaboratively with the business with a business-oriented approach and a focus on problem solving through the provision of in-depth technical knowledge, technology and process improvement, that will help the business grow and perform more efficiently.

-Budgetary responsibilities and responsibility for the sourcing of hardware, software, licences or other IT and telecoms equipment and services.

-Strategic planning and IT project management.

-Ensuring the timely delivery of all IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and to budget.

-Ensuring organisation-wide IT compliance, such as data integrity, GDPR and general IT security.

-Identifying and implementing IT best practice, including IT related policies and procedures.

-Leading, motivating and managing the IT Infrastructure Support Analyst

-Reviewing and implementing recommendations and findings from a recent external IT review, including systems reviews and integration, and reviewing outsourced contracts.

-Supporting an organisation of 95 people, some of whom work remotely (plus AV and wifi responsibility for other tenants and events onsite)

Required skills and experience:

-Ideally experience as an IT Manager in a small team combining infrastructure and strategy

-Solid experience with Office 365 a strong advantage

-Experience with CRM / systems integration

-Extensive experience working in IT in a commercial or charity setting.

-Experience of working in an innovation-oriented organisation with diverse user requirements would be beneficial.

-Experience with tools from multiple technology stacks including Microsoft and Apple.

-Hands on experience with computer networks and network administration.

-Understanding and experience in data centre management and data governance, including GDPR compliance.

-Advance experience of security systems such as firewalls, encryption, disaster recovery etc.

-Management of business cloud services such as Office365, Dropbox, SAP by Design, Salesforce and Sage (People).

-Financial management experience including purchasing, budgeting and analysing and reporting on the return of financial investments.
