A training provider for people with learning disabilities and difficulties, supporting learners into employment and independent living are recruiting for a full time Vocational and Functional Skills Tutor for an interim position with a view to become permanent.

Based in Harrow the Tutor will be a proactive member of the education team coordinating and delivering Foundations Courses including: Functional Skills, Personal and Social Development, Hospitality and Catering, Life Skills, Enrichment and Employability for Young Adults with Learning Difficulties

You will have experience of working with young people and adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities in an education setting, working in small group classes and have innovative ideas around enterprise education to help the learners secure independence.

Hours will be from 9-5 Monday to Friday.

Criteria for the Functional Skills and Vocational Tutor include:
? Teaching qualification such as PTLLS, QTS, QTLS
? Teaching Experience in one of the following specialisms: life skills, catering, hospitality, literacy, numeracy and ICT
? Experience of working with vulnerable persons, specifically those with Learning Difficulties
? Experience of working within a framework governed by legislation
? Experience working within complex regulations and statutes
? Experience of working within a Life Skills and Employability environment
? Experience of managing challenging behaviours
? Experience of promoting both Welfare and Inclusion of Vulnerable Adults
