Interim Payroll & Pensions Executive

A renowned community services charity engaging with young people is looking for a Payroll & Pensions Executive to join their friendly and supportive team on a temp basis for 3 months. This is an exciting opportunity for a Payroll & Pensions Executive to play a key role in the Finance team deputising for the Payroll & Pensions Manager whilst ensuring the accurate processing and reconciliation of transactional data. You will be able to work flexibly in this role with 3 days a week in office and 2 remote days.

The role

  • Assisting the Payroll & Pensions Manager with all payroll and pension activity and deputising where required
  • Uploading the monthly BACS file to the BACS system
  • Issuing payslips and creating month end reports
  • Creating and distributing the monthly variance report to senior members of the Finance team
  • Responsible for the organisation's pension scheme ensuring monthly pension contributions are processed in a timely manner
  • Monitoring the payroll email inbox and responding to queries

About you

  • Experience previously working in a payroll & pensions department
  • Previous experience and confident using payroll & pension accounting systems
  • Confident IT skills particularly using Microsoft Office
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Detailed and organised
  • Able to confidently work using digital spreadsheets and accounts software
  • A good understanding of PAYE, statutory payments and pension auto-enrolment

£18 p/h
