Leading the Events and Community Fundraising team at this ambitious UK health charity, this is an excellent opportunity for you to join a fast-growing, focussed, and friendly organisation in a one year maternity cover contract position. Managing a high performing team, this role is far more than a caretaking positon with tremendous scope for you to drive exciting initiatives further and develop close working relationships with colleagues on the Senior Management Team.
Managing a team of seven fundraisers, including two talented direct reports, you will be responsible for a key income stream for the organisation which brings in almost half of the charity’s annual voluntary income.
You will use your knowledge and experience of managing successful challenge event programmes to look at innovative ways to recruit participants, plan events strategy and support your team! On the community fundraising side, you will utilise your background of working with volunteer fundraisers to implement and manage donor stewardship strategies, and work with the SMT to develop an exciting new community fundraising initiative which will work across all teams within the organisation, weaving fundraising into conversations at every level and laying the groundwork for the next stage of the programmes growth.
