A very successful national education charity who support young people with SEND are looking to appoint an Interim Deputy Head of school, for their north London based, non-maintained special school for pupils from Early Years to Post 16.
This role is to be appointed on a fixed term contract with the school starting in September 2019 until April 2020 with the opportunity to apply for the permanent post.
With an Outstanding Ofsted rating and nearly 100 pupils, this school is supported by staff who are committed to providing high quality, specialist teaching to improve the lives of young people with SEND.
While there is no direct teaching involved in this Deputy Head role, some of your key responsibilities will include leadership and management of; Teaching and Learning, monitoring and evaluation, achievement, target setting, pupil progress, behavior and safety and performance management.
To contribute to continuous improvement and to maintain innovation, development and success of this school, you will be a highly successful Deputy Head with a strong record of senior leadership work within an education setting.
You must have extensive teaching experience of young people with SEND and will have extensive knowledge of curriculum frameworks for young people with SEND, ideally including post 16 curriculum frameworks and qualifications.
If you are a successful and passionate Deputy Head with experience in SEND and happy to take on an interim role initially, this could be a great new role for you.
