A leading professional membership organisation in central London who train, support and develop healthcare professionals in the UK, are recruiting a temporary position within their Library and Archive Service.
This role will be appointed for about 6 weeks while the permanent role is recruited. The hourly rate will be £20.81 + holiday pay and the working hours are 35 per week with occasional Saturdays and late evening work on a rota basis. You will be based in central London 5 days a week for this role.
The role: As the Information and Skills Specialist, your role will be to support the delivery of the Library and Archive Service's information and digital literacy provision with a focus on literature search service and delivering library teaching and learning relevant to the health information sector.
About you: you will either have significant library experience or a librarianship qualification such as Library and Information Studies or similar. The two essential elements of experience for this role are the ability to deliver literature searches and experience providing in person and remote teaching for individuals and groups.
If you have experience with health and medical databases, this would be an advantage but it's not essential.
