An international higher education organisation that provides immersive study abroad programmes for undergraduate students is looking for an Immigration and Compliance Officer on a permanent basis. This role will coordinate, develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure compliance with the sponsor licence and retention of the organisation's licences.

The Immigration and Compliance Officer will provide a friendly and responsive immigration information and advice service to students, maintaining high levels of customer care at all times and disseminate information and guidance to staff on immigration issues. You will actively improve staff awareness of their responsibilities in relation to sponsorship duties and contribute to student handbooks, pre-arrival information and guidance, as well as supporting HR and operations with Right to Work checks.

This role will work with colleagues to maintain information management systems and provide staff training on the Sponsor Management system. You will assign all CAS to prospective students ensuring full compliance with Home Office policies and ensure that accurate and up-to-date audit trails for CAS assignments are maintained.

In order to make a success of this role you will have substantial experience, knowledge and understanding of UK visas and immigration policy affecting international students. You will have knowledge of the higher education system in the UK and recent experience of providing information and support to international students on immigration related subjects. As someone with an understanding of the implications and impact of UKVI visa regulations and requirements you will have great attention to detail and efficiency.

This organisation is based next to Gloucester Road station and you would begin the role working in the office full-time with some scope for the role to become more of a hybrid working arrangement. Working hours tend to be 9-5 but they do operate a flexible working policy where you can alter your hours based around the core hours.
