£13.72 per hour plus holiday pay
TPP?s client; a key advocacy charity who operate across the England are seeking Independent mental capacity advocates across London.
Our client supports people who face disadvantage or discrimination to have a voice that counts. They provide advocacy and under involvement services across England, they are a growing organisation working with people who are vulnerable or marginalised to raise their voices and have their rights respected.
The Advocate will provide professional advocacy under the Mental Capacity Act, Care Act and other legislation to those deemed to lack capacity. Your role will be to ensure their wishes, feelings, beliefs and needs are taken into account in decisions around their care and support, leading to strong outcomes for the individual.
To be considered for the role you will be IAQ qualified, IMCA qualified. You will also need to have previous experience of working with a diverse range of vulnerable people. It is very important that you have an understanding of the principles of Advocacy, and experience of the statutory regulations and other key guidance covering this work including Mental capacity Act, Advocacy Code of Practice and Advocacy Charter.
Previous experience of working as an advocate, or working with people who lack capacity is highly desirable along with experience of acting as a RPR, or working as an IMCA. Being DOLs qualified will be highly advantageous.
This post will require the candidate to have an enhanced DBS check.
