Rennie Grove Hospice Care is a charity providing care and support for patients diagnosed with cancer and other life-limiting illness and their families. Every year through our 24/7 Hospice at Home service, our Family Support services and the range of Day Services at Grove House we give thousands of patients in Herts and Bucks the choice to stay at home, surrounded by their families and friends.

In a challenging economic climate it is essential that our IT systems are an operational asset. The speed of technological change, the need to support more patients and clients, engage our donors and patrons more effectively, target our marketing activities more accurately and responsively, and the difficulty of finding good, impartial advice all conspire to make achieving our strategic goals extremely challenging.

As we embark on development of our 2019-22 strategic plans our objective is to develop a clear, comprehensible ICT plan supported by a strong governance framework. Early work has identified the need for a Trustee with an ICT background and specific skills, knowledge and experience to help the Board of Trustees reach sound decisions relating to ICT and development of a digital culture.

Rennie Grove is looking for a strategic thinker to ensure the development of a strategic roadmap to cover the four major components of our ICT environment. Recent efforts have been focused on replacing and upgrading the network infrastructure, telecommunications services and the website but Rennie Grove now faces the more challenging prospect of developing a digital culture.

For more detailed information about this exciting and challenging role, and details on how to apply, please contact the Volunteering Team at volunteer@renniegrove.org or on 01727 731020.
