A public research university are currently recruiting for a HR Information and Insight Analyst for a three-month fixed term contract. You will be responsible for the accurate and appropriate management information as requested by internal staff and external organisations.
You will report into the HR Information and Insight Manager within the Human Resources Division. Some of the key external organisations that you will be having key working relationships includes regulatory reporting organisations such as ONS, OfS and HESA.
Coordinating the provision of timely, accurate and appropriate management information to support decision-making and service effectiveness.
To review and coordinate requests for ad hoc information and liaise with the requester to clearly understand their needs and deliver the information within the agreed timescale.
To produce regular monthly and annual reports to support HR business processes.
To extract and combine datasets to support officers making decisions relating to pay, rewards and policy.
To prepare information for statutory or voluntary surveys on pay, workforce performance indicators and benchmarking such as Annual Survey of Hours Earnings, UCEA sickness survey, XpertHR as well as Russell Group salary surveys.
To prepare data for information owners to respond to external agencies, Freedom of Information requests and external and internal publications.
To develop new management information and business intelligence solutions using the tools available to compile data, statistics and analysis.
To possess or develop a good working knowledge of the current Discoverer Plus reporting tool and other relevant reporting tools to extract data from the HR system.
You will have:
Extensive experience in Excel and have the ability to analyse data.
Experience of managing and analysing complex data sets, of qualitative and quantitative analysis as well as producing reports.
Experience of extracting and manipulating data to create analytical summaries.
Experience of using data analytics and data visualization tools e.g. Power BI, Tableau.
Experience with analysing sensitive data in line with GDPR.
The role is mainly remote with one day a week in the office. For the first two weeks you may be required to be in the office more frequently.
This is a maths focused role and suitable profiles will be sent over to the university by Friday. Interviews are to be held virtually next week. You will be required to do an Excel test on the day of the interview. The start date is the week commencing November 8th.
